NAILS OF THE DAY: Witchy Sparkle

As you may have noticed summer has been and gone, we're (us girls anyway) putting away our worn to death shorts and swapping them for our favourite winter coat. Those autumnal colours are rising to the surface once again. Goodbye candy corals, garish green and hello pomegranates and plums!

This also applies to nail varnish, as all summer I've been coating my talons with the peachiest colours on the market with the odd hint of neon, so on my lunch break last week I stopped off at my local Boots and had a browse. Now when it comes to Barry M I'd like to think I'm well acquainted but when it comes to Maybelline varnish I am a bit of a newbie, I had previously bought a neon pink from the Colour Show collection and wanted to try more.
I was fixated on one of their bottles of black, gothic, about as emo as you can get black varnish. Why not relive your emo days eh?
As I love a bit of glitter who was I to turn to but Barry M? I found a lovely bottle of dark multi coloured glitter and would hope to team it with my black...

Maybelline Coral Tonic Colour Sensation Lipstick

About a month ago I purchased my second Maybelline Colour Sensation Lipstick in the shade 422- Coral Tonic, my first was called Pleasure Me Red and I adored it.
I've chosen to blog about this colour though as I cannot seem to stop wearing it, if you saw my "What's in my Bag" video you will have seen I keep it in there permanently.

It's a great summery colour, a hot coral and would look gorgeous on dark skin, as well as lighter shades, if I could rock a tan I would but unfortunately I am rubbish at tanning.
I you haven't tried any of the Colour Sensation line I would highly recommend it as the lipsticks are really moisturising and don't flake as much as some I've tried, they are brilliant if you want to layer up and go for an opaque lip or if you just want a hint of colour you just put one coat on and it will last you for a good few hours.

Big thumbs up from me!

If anyone would like to share their views on the line I would love to hear from you, drop me a comment!

WIMB?

This is my bag, I have had it for as long as I remember and I'm not even that sure it is MY bag.I don't even know where it's from.
But this is what I carry round with my on a daily basis, it's light, tough and can hold a lot of useless rubbish. Check my quick video below to see what I carry in it almost every day.

DESERT ISLAND DUO

You're stranded on a desert island, what two beauty items do you have with you?
Last week I discovered two items that I can now say will always find a place in my makeup bag.
The Carmex moisturizing lip balm and Maybelline New York's Dream Fresh BB Cream.

I suffer from the occasional bout of eczema from time to time from legs, elbows, arms and even my face. I even get it around my lips once in a blue moon. This past week has been one of those weeks were I wake up with burning lips, reach for the lip balm and moisturizer and try to calm this episode down. My strawberry chapstick was making it worse and I was struggling to find a suitable replacement until the nice lady in Boots recommended a little pot of Carmex, now I don't know anything about this brand or product but what I can tell you is that it instantly soothed my chapped lips with a lovely menthol feeling and it lasts for a fair amount of time.
The little pot now lives by my side.

Why the Maybelline BB cream?
I chose this product because I was getting bored of my old one, the Garnier Skin Perfector. I think I was just kidding my self that it was evening my skin tone out and doing me any good.
It was a bit of a gamble buying the Maybelling BB cream because I had never used it previously and have never read any reviews, I can say I am thoroughly impressed with it.

It doesn't look caked on which is a big thing for me, I am quite low maintenance with my everyday look.
It lifts my under eye dark circles a few shades without using concealer, it's so easy to put on, so easy you could probably do it in the dark (handy for those winter mornings).
I LOVE this BB cream and highly recommend it if you have trouble getting an even complexion and don't use full face primers.
