Last Weekend: Video and Pictures
I have been ill for the last two days so I've not been in the mood for sitting at a computer for hours trying to finish this video.
Please excuse the lack of 'stuff' as I was in a big rush to get to Manchester, get dressed in 5 minutes and off out to eat. I forgot my camera :/
We started off at Rosso Manchester for food which was lovely, a very swanky place indeed! Then we got a taxi to the Bridgewater (bring on the prosecco)hall in time for the BBC Philharmonic performance of Gustav Holst's The Planets, WOWEE is a good word to use for that performance!
Rather than finishing the night there we ventured off into Manchester and visited my favourite, The Alchemist for an hour or so and since I live in the middle of nowhere with about 12 old mens pubs it was a real treat. Ending the night with a hole in my tights, a broken phone screen from donating to the poor and a dirty chicken kebab, all went well! I then spent the rest of the weekend watching lots of movies and eating crap :)

Glyco-luron: New Beauty Buys
After watching Alix from 'I Covet Thee' film her morning and night beauty routine I thought to myself, why don't I look after my skin PROPERLY? All those blackheads around my nose flakey bits aren't going to go away with just a cleansing wipe and some fancy pancy moisturiser! So, this is what I have to blog about this morning, I have made a start with a routine/collection which I hope to build and try out different products to make sure they suit my skin perfectly.
Alas, my first buy was a decent cleanser:
Excuse the chipped nail varnish.
I chose the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Cleanser because I had tried their Dry Leg moisturiser previously and found it worked wonders, so why not give the brand a good go? I found it very easy to apply just swirling it round my damp cheeks and onto the rest of my face, I read that some people leave it on whilst they bathe as they can " feel it dissolving dead skin cells" but I decided to leave it on just a few moments then wiped it off with a wet flannel. It did however do what every single cleanser I've ever used has done, dry my skin up... Not so it was flakey, but that horrible feeling of using a crappy bar of soap on your body, I was craving moisture!
Onto my second purchase:
Now it's Alix to thank for this beauty, "below the surface hydration" Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron.
I have never come across a product that is specifically for your lower layers of your skin, this may sound stupid but that's what I thought all these fancy moisturisers I've been buying said they would nourish when all they did was moisturise the surface.
This clear watery gel gets absorbed in seconds ready for a moisturiser on the top.
I've only been using this for a week and my skin is so smooth and soft when I wake up in the morning, I feel like someone has taken a few weeks off it.
I will post updates of new additions/changes to the starting routine when I have products to add to it, if anyone has any suggestions on a toner for dry/sensitive skin I would appreciate the feedback.
Thanks!
